    Functions And Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the educational and administrative affairs in the department within the limits of the policy prescribed by the College Council and the Department Council in accordance with the provisions of the laws, regulations and resolutions In particular, he is responsible for the following:-
    • Sets the educational objectives and outputs of the curriculum in partnership with the members of the department council.
    • The lectures and lessons are distributed to the faculty members who are teaching in the department in order to present them to the department council and follow up and supervise the commitment to implement the daily work plans according to the approved curriculum.
    • Follow up the implementation of decisions and policy of the Department and College Council in respect of supervising the employees in the department and monitoring and evaluating their work.

Head Of The Academic Department Of Basic Medical Sciences:

  • participates in the review of the scientific foundations of the curriculum and the method of teaching and training on the strategies and programs of modern medical education in coordination with the curriculum committee of the college.
  • coordinates with the heads of departments / coordinators of the educational units of basic medical sciences to apply the standards and scientific foundations and evaluate the modern curricula and integrate them with the clinical curricula and clinical skills laboratories in coordination with the education branch and the Medical Education Department.
    • The department follows up and supervises the commitment to apply daily work plans according to the approved curriculum.
    • Follows up the implementation of the decisions and policy of the department and college council with regard to the supervision of employees in the department and monitoring and evaluating their work.
