Armed Forces College of Medicine (AFCM) and Michigan State University (MSU) have signed a collaboration Protocol

In accordance with the Armed Forces College of Medicine (AFCM) strategy of improving the Methodologies of medical education with the intention of qualifying the Medical officer's graduates, a delegation of AFCM staff members Led by Maj.Gen/AYMAN SHAFEI Director of AFCM, has visited Michigan State University (MSU) In the United States. The delegation held a series of meetings with Dean/William Strampel and the senior management board, in addition to having a tour to explore the modern educational facilities, skill labs, and Detroit Medical Center the educational hospital for (MSU-COM). The visit was culminated by Signing a Collaboration Protocol between AFCM and MSU-COM states that MSU is to recognize the bachelor degree granted to the graduates of AFCM in Medicine and Surgery and both colleges will sign and seal the certificates. The protocol also aims at the enhancement of medical education, clinical skills, and research skills of the AFCM cadets to match the international standards. MSU medical education experts are to review the AFCM curriculum for medical program, and AFCM cadets are to receive training missions to the educational hospitals affiliated with MSU–COM
