  Assessment Sysytem

The College is committed to the declared and accredited Code of Assessment. Based on the exams blueprint matrix, it develops written exams and prepares practical and oral exams and quizzes. This system is approved by the College Council.
Periodical and final exams’ schedule are to be announced at the beginning of the academic year.

A number of basic/ exams (formative assessment) are administered throughout the academic term. They are determined from the beginning of the academic year to ensure that the cadets comprehend the scientific content, and to conduct some corrective measures, if required, to maintain educational objectives.
Summative assessment is conducted continuously throughout the academic year (continuous assessment).
When a cadet gets less than 40% in the written exam of any mandatory subject or fails to attend the final exam without an excuse accepted by the college, the cadet fails.
English language and Computer curricula are go/no go and are not reflected in degrees integrated in the term total degrees.
The cadet is evaluated at the midterm and end-term. The grades of each curriculum is divided as follows: 10% periodical assessment, 20% midterm exam, 70% end-term exam (of which 40% written, 30% oral and practical/clinical). Each accredited point accounts for 20 degrees in the pre-clinical stage and 30 degrees in clinical stage.

Problem-based learning curriculum is evaluated throughout the academic year and the grades are added to the accumulative result. Relevant sections participate in coordination with the PBL curricula coordinator.
Accredited points for each academic level do not include what is taught in summer curriculum (4-5 weeks) for each academic level.
Assessment dates:

The exam is in June – (fifth grade) in September and the (sixth grade) in November.
The re-test is in September – the fifth and sixth grades in May.
Cadets are not allowed to proceed to the next grade without passing all the curricula except for ethics subjects. However, the BSc. degree is not granted unless cadets pass the ethics subjects.
