  Admission Requirements  
   


Admission Requirements

Students who want to join the AFCM must meet the following requirements:


Must have Egyptian Nationality and so must their parents and grandparents.
They must have a general or al-Azhar high school pass certificate or any equivalent certificate according to the Supreme Council of Universities. The students percentage grade will be considered the year of the application and will be subjected to the conditions and rules set by the Supreme Council of the College of Medicine
The validity of the above mentioned certificate is 2 years after completion. During these 2 years, the student must have been registered in a faculty, high institute or military service.
The student’s age must not be exceed 22 years at the beginning of October in the year of the application.
The student must not previously have received a legal sentence for a felony or dishonor offence.
The student must be well behaved and must not have any criminal record that may put the Armed Forces’ security and good reputation at risk.
The student is not and has not been married. They must agree not to get married during the course of their study.
The student has not quit or been dismissed from any military colleges or institutes.
The student must meet all the physical fitness requirements set by the Minister of Defence. The assigned army medical council will make sure these requirements are met.
The student must meet the standards and criteria of admission set by the Supreme Council as well as the loyalty and confidence tests.
Students that fail to meet either the physical fitness requirements, the criteria of admission and the loyalty and confidence tests are not allowed to re-take the same exam in the same year.
The student and his father (or guardian) must submit written consent which covers the following.
That all the information included in the student’s application is correct.
That they will pay the costs of tests and medical check-ups if the student is dismissed or in case of absence or resigns.
That they will pay the costs of the student’s accommodation whilst at the college and the costs of all tests.
If the student is dismissed for other reasons other than general benefit such as lack of physical fitness or incompetency for military life, the student and his father (or guardian) will pay all/ some of these costs based on the dismissal decision made by the Council of the College.
That the student will pay all the additional necessary costs stated by the Supreme Council of the College in addition to the annual fees that are decided by the Supreme Council of the College.
Any other requirements decided by The Supreme Council of the College and approved by the Minister of Defence will be met.
All these requirements about students’ admission stated in article 46 are considered obligatory for the student to continue at the college and dismissal will occur if any are missed.
Students who have completed the general or al-Azher high school certificate must submit their admission application according to the established rules and regulations.
Foreign students can be admitted to the college by the formal approval of the Minister of Defence if it is felt that the admission requirements have been met. International students will be treated according to the rules set by the Armed Forces Authorities.
